\u00a0Without further ado, pics from the first day on Kaua&#8217;i with Noah&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>(Be sure to click the links for more information\/pictures\/hidden surprises&#8230;)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After a long series of plane flights, cancellations, re-routes and luggage losses, we finally made it to Lihue Airport, Kaua&#8217;i. \u00a0We got a good night&#8217;s rest and woke up for breakfast at the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.yelp.com\/biz\/hanalei-wake-up-cafe-hanalei\">Hanalei Wake-up Caf\u00e9<\/a>. \u00a0Then, after breakfast, we made our way down to the beautiful\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gohawaii.com\/kauai\/regions-neighborhoods\/north-shore\/hanalei-town\">Hanalei Bay<\/a>, for Noah&#8217;s first introduction to the beach and the water. \u00a0He is a confirmed beach bum now and loved it after some initial surprise that\u00a0<em>the waves chase you, too<\/em>!<\/p>\n<p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sharpfocusmedia.com\/noah\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/Kauai-2011-Day-12.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[458]\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sharpfocusmedia.com\/noah\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/Kauai-2011-Day-12.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" \/><\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 11px;\"><em>click the image for a larger version<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Desperately needing a high chair (and not having one anywhere nearby), we improvised and used beach towels to &#8220;tie&#8221; Noah down to the chair for feeding. \u00a0He didn&#8217;t seem to mind, as long as his mouth was full. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been dreading a long write-up for these pics; so, instead of waiting any longer for my creativity to kick in, I&#8217;m just going to post them with a little commentary and finally get them online!
