Noah got his new big boy car seat yesterday, and today was his first ride in it. He loved it — it’s like an infant Lazy-Boy!
He loved it so much, in fact, that he decided to “mark” it as his own. đ

Noah’s ready to join Starfleet Academy now!

Isn’t he a dapper little fella?

As promised, here are the pictures from this year’s Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch. Â Really hoping we can get over to the Pumpkin Express for pictures, too! Â I love trains…and, I’m sure Noah will, too!
Noah went in for his 6-month checkup today, and everything is great. Â He’s up to 18lbs 14oz now, and the doctor said he’s ready to go into a convertible car seat – which Mom and Dad are thrilled about! Â He’s getting a little heavy in his carrier! Â Noah is in the 90-95th percentile on height and somewhere around the 50th percentile on weight – the doctor still predicts “tall and skinny” is in his future. Â His head is doing well, and the doctor was very happy to see him in his new helmet.
We also got another piece of good news today – Noah got accepted into the Wrap Buddies program from 360 Wraps here in Dallas! Â This is a program run by a local shop that wraps plagiocephaly cranial bands as a service to the community. Â We were really lucky to be chosen so quickly out of many applicants to get into the program, as Noah only wears this cranial band (helmet) for about 2-1/2 to 3 months. Â So, we’re really excited – Noah goes in on November 12th for his wrapping party!
And, lastly, we got some really great photos at the local Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch that I hope to post soon. Â Here’s a quick taste of Noah finding the Great Pumpkin. Â đ
Amanda went crazy and bedazzled my son last night… đ

Well, we’re still waiting to hear from Hanger Orthodics about Noah’s helmet. Â Hopefully, he will get it this week.
In the meantime, enjoy Noah squealing in a video Amanda just posted. Â He does love his jumperoo!
We met with the doctor today, and it looks like Noah will be getting his helmet in the next 2 weeks. Â His head asymmetry had increased since the last visit (which is bad), and the doctor thought it was a good time to go ahead and start him with it. Â So, now we face a new dilemma: Â which color should the helmet be? Â Maroon, with painted white letters/numbers? Â Yellow and black, with crash-test emblems on it? Â Other suggestions?
This poem was introduced to us by Amanda’s mom, and it pretty much sums up life right now. Â Â đ
Babies Donât Keep
by Ruth Hulbert Hamilton
Mother, O Mother, come shake out your cloth,
Empty the dustpan, poison the moth,
Hang out the washing, make up the bed,
Sew on a button and butter the bread.
Where is the mother whose house is so shocking?
Sheâs up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.
Oh, Iâve grown as shiftless as Little Boy Blue,
Lullabye, rockabye, lullabye loo.
Dishes are waiting and bills are past due
Pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peekaboo
The shoppingâs not done and thereâs nothing for stew
And out in the yard thereâs a hullabaloo
But Iâm playing Kanga and this is my Roo
Look! Arenât his eyes the most wonderful hue?
Lullabye, rockaby lullabye loo.
The cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow
But children grow up as Iâve learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs; Dust go to sleep!
Iâm rocking my baby and babies donât keep.
