Noah’s Great Aunt Sam (“Gammy”) gave him a set of cool shades for the summer. And, Noah wears them with pride…everywhere!

Our 2 year old!
Well, today is Noah’s second birthday – Happy Birthday, son! What better way to start the day than with Birthday Breakfast (eggs and candles!):

Thanks to all of you who joined us for his party last Saturday – we had a great time with you all. I know Noah missed those that weren’t able to attend.
Noah speaks
Noah cracks me up. He’s learning to string words together into thoughts (or randomness).
Sometimes, they’re very timely, like when Amanda told me we would be having a baby next summer. Noah was there and responded, “baby, why?”
Today, as we cross the railroad tracks on the way to work, I hear “go baby, go!” from the backseat.
Big boy room
We started work on Noah’s big boy room this weekend. I’ve almost got his train bed finished, and we need a place to put it!
Well, if you’re going to move everything out of a room, you may as well paint, right? And, if you’re going to paint, you may as well…yeah, yeah. Never ending cycle!
Anyways, we got the room taped off and I got one coat of paint on this weekend. After Lowe’s giving us bad paint twice, that’s all I had time for, sadly. But, it is a work in progress, and we made progress this weekend.
Even though Noah probably won’t be in this room for another 10 months or so, at least it will be ready to go (and the paint fumes hopefully dissipated).
Who knew? A Jellybean Has a Heartbeat!
Noah and the Pumpkin
Giddy-up!
Noah’s notification system
Our son is actually an incredibly accurate notification system. Each time the waffles pop up in the toaster, we hear “ud-da!” (ta-da!). Then, when the phone rings or a text message comes in, we hear “uh-oh!”. When a phone call ends, we hear “BYE!”.
Gotta love this little boy. He doesn’t miss a thing!
The stomach bug that never ends
Well, Noah seems to have finally gotten past this round of the stomach bug. It’s been a long road, the last week. There were nights where he’d be nearly swimming in his bed – ewww, yes I know. He’s finally back to eating normally and getting his milk bottle at night.
I got sick for a day or so with it, but not nearly as bad as Noah. Amanda has stayed well, knock on wood. However, apparently, he spread the joy to his great grandmother this weekend (thanks, Noah!). We pray for quick healing for her, as it hit her pretty hard today.
Here’s to a good night’s sleep, for all…
Tummy Time – A New Meaning
What a night…nothing will wake up you and get you out of bed faster than the sound of your child emptying their stomach inside their crib. I think I made it up the stairs in less than 2 seconds FLAT! 🙂 Poor Noah seems to have come home with more than just a fun art project from Sunday School. We made it through 4 crib sheets, 2 pack and play sheets, a set of queen size sheets and 4 different shirts for Mama last night. Yes, he was a very busy boy last night! He finally went back to sleep around 10:00 this morning, after being up since 4:30, so hopefully the rest will help. The dr. said that there really isn’t thing that he can take…we just have to wait this one out. So, we wait and pray that Neil and I don’t get it either!
