Noah is still learning to be gentle with Noah, but he’s getting better day by day. He loves to hold Eli in his lap and “pet” him. A crying baby is still unsettling, but we’re trying to help him understand that Eli is OK when he cries. All in all, Noah is a good big brother who loves spending time with his younger sibling; and, that is priceless!
Amazingly, Noah and Eli were only 7 grams (7 paper clips!) difference in weight when they were born. And, they were less than 1/4″ difference in height (within the margin of error, given that the nurses measure by marking on their bed sheets).
Noah – 2.949 kilograms (6 lbs 8.02 oz), 19-3/4″ long
Eli – 2.956 kilograms (6 lbs 8.26 oz), 19-1/2″ long
Eli is already trying to one-up his big brother: this morning, he rolled from his stomach to his back. Over-achiever… 🙂
Well, for those that don’t know – the day Eli arrived, Noah got quarantined from us due to the stomach flu. Amanda’s parents have been so sweet to watch him, in what was supposed to be 2 days and ended up being almost a week. His fever finally broke on Saturday morning, so we look forward to ending his 48 hour waiting period and seeing him tomorrow. In the meantime, like any modern family, we’ve video-chatted! 🙂
I’ve been having issues with sending emails out when our blog is updated. Please let me know if you’re not getting emails when updates occur (and you have in the past). If you haven’t checked out Noah & Eli’s blog lately, please come check out the updates you’ve missed. Thanks!
Well, today is Noah’s second birthday – Happy Birthday, son! What better way to start the day than with Birthday Breakfast (eggs and candles!):
Thanks to all of you who joined us for his party last Saturday – we had a great time with you all. I know Noah missed those that weren’t able to attend.
I moved our web host last night, but everything should be back up and running on Noah’s blog now. Please let me know if you don’t receive update emails or see anything strange. Thanks!
