You see this stool? I HATE this stool. In fact, I hate it so much that I own 4 of them! It never fails…I’m in a hurry to get dinner made and on the table and I hear it coming-hitting every possible wall in my house as it quickly makes its way -landing on my unsuspecting toes and 3 inches from my body. Suddenly, I have the help of 6 little hands-eager, waiting and most of the time, unwashed…suddenly, dinner will now be 15 minutes late due to all my help. I am work in progress in accepting the untimely help. I have to remind myself that there will be a day that I long for these stools and little helping hands. These years are short and I need to savor them. But for now, I will wear steel closed shoes when I cook.
