On day 7, we decided to rent some bikes and a trailer. We biked up and down the Kapa’a coastline on a fantastic bike trail that led over bridges and past beaches, an old pier, banana plantations, and rough coastlines. It was a lot of fun, and Noah thoroughly enjoyed riding in his Burley trailer. In fact, when we got home, we found one on Craigslist that is very similar; and, we purchased it for him. Granted, the views are not quite as good around here; but, he still enjoys riding along with the wind in his face. And, wind wasn’t the only thing he got in his face on Kaua’i; poor Noah was covered in red dirt from my back tire!
After the bike ride, Noah spent some time practicing his surfing skills on the boogie board. Then, we took a hike back down to Sealodge Beach. The day ended with picking up some plumeria flowers around the condo. It’s hard to beat a place that is carpeted with flowers!
