After a VERY LONG NIGHT-took this girl to the dr to discover she had a ruptured ear drum! . She didn’t start complaining about her ear hurting until 11 last night-from then on, she was up every 4 hrs complaining about her ear hurting. For the girl that complains about every little scratch, I was shocked to hear that it had already ruptured. Kinda glad it’s ruptured because this means we can just do ear drops instead of an antibiotic. #workingonwinking #highpaintolerance
Sometimes I forget he’s only 8. He had an X-ray today to look at his spine-no big deal. I looked over and he’s nearly in tears. I asked him if he was nervous and he said, “kinda”. I forget that something as simple as an X-ray can be a big deal. We talked about it and he did great-came out in all smiles. Later in the car, he asked how bad is his back. Again, he was worried there was something seriously wrong with him. We talked again about how this is no big deal and I’m sure everything is fine. So glad that I can openly talk to him about his heart, his thoughts and fears. I sure pray that it will always be this way. #bigguy #bigheart
I get asked a lot what Hannah does while he boys do school. Usually, she plays with her dollhouse, colors or plays dress up. The Beast. That’s what we are going to have to start calling this kid! He had his well-check visit today and he has grown 3 inches and gained 16 lbs this year. He’s now 4’10” and weighs 77 lbs. This will probably be the last year that he is shorter than me!!! He’s wearing size 10 clothes now and a size 6 shoe. His favorite subject is history and his favorite food is “lots of it”! #eightisgreat #eightishuge #superbig #supercool
