I lost my wedding rings this weekend. I had quickly put them in my sweatshirt pocket so I could help Neil finish filling a trench that he and his dad dug this weekend. When I bent over to pick up some dirt, they fell out and were buried with dirt without us knowing. It wasn’t until we were at dinner that I realized I didn’t have them on and they weren’t in my pocket anymore. I have never felt so sick about an innocent mistake I’ve made. We headed home and tried to find them but the 300 ft trench was just so overwhelming-I didn’t even know where to start. It truly was like looking for a needle in a haystack. Neil the whole time was calm, making jokes, and reassuring me that it would be fine-no matter what. A sweet friend let us borrow her metal detector after hearing what had happened. We went over to her house at 9:00-THANK YOU AGAIN Sherri!!, put the kids to bed and started the great wedding ring hunt in the dark. After about an hour of searching, we FINALLY found them at 10:30!!! Neil truly showed Christ’s love last night… Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. 1 Cor 13:4-8 #celebrating20yearaofmarriagethisyear #itonlygetsbetterwithtime #loveispatient #loveiskind #loveneverfails #sappypost
